Major Jennifer Pinnow

Major Jennifer Pinnow is a 24-year veteran of the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).  She began her career as a patrol trooper in metro Phoenix.  As a detective with DPS, she was part of the Maricopa Meth Lab Task Force, implementing the state-wide Precursor Chemical Program, and worked in the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), investigating critical incidents, homicides and officer-involved shootings.  As a sergeant, she worked in the gang unit, in the Special Investigations Unit, in the Professional Standards Unit and in Narcotics.  In 2014, she promoted to captain and worked at the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center (ACTIC) as the commander of the DPS Operations District, which included overseeing intelligence officer units.  She was transferred to the Central Narcotics District in 2015, before standing up the newly created ACTIC Intelligence District in 2017, which was formed to oversee all DPS analytical work units.  In April 2018, she was promoted to Major over the DPS Intelligence Bureau and was assigned to the ACTIC as the Director.  Major Pinnow has served as Arizona’s Interdiction for the Protection of Children Program Coordinator since 2015.  She created and moderates the Arizona Human Trafficking Intelligence Network, which includes hosting quarterly intelligence meetings. In addition, she was an appointed member to the Governor’s Justice for Victims of Sexual Abuse Task Force in 2019.  Major Pinnow currently serves on the National Fusion Center Association’s Executive Board as a Southwest Region Co-Chair.

Major Pinnow has a bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies and a master’s degree in Legal Studies and is a graduate of Northwestern’s School of Police Staff and Command.
