Lieutenant Colonel Tammy Bogart is the commander of the U.S. Army Phoenix Recruiting Battalion. She is originally from Tiffin, Ohio. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2003 and commissioned as an Ordnance Corps Officer through Officer Candidate School in 2002.

LTC Bogart’s previous assignments include assistant operations officer, maintenance control officer, executive officer and bravo company commander in the 626th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; maintenance and echelons above brigade observer, coach-trainer at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center, Hohenfels, Germany; brigade logistics support team chief, 407th Army Field Support Battalion, Fort Carson; battalion executive officer, 11th Transportation Battalion, Fort Story, Virginia; ordnance portfolio manager, Future and Concepts Center, Fort Eustis, Virginia; and commander’s action group staff officer, V Corps, Fort Knox, Kentucky. She deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. LTC Bogart is a graduate of the Ordnance Officer Basic Course, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, Support Operations Course, and the Command and General Staff College. 

Her awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and The Army Service Ribbon.
